Back from New York
Apr. 25th, 2005 08:34 pmPassover with my family in New York was pretty good. We drove back today and ran into
mangosteen at the Mass Pike service area where we stopped for lunch.
Since the holiday started on a weekend, Kelly was able to come down with me. She was nervous because she'd never done Passover with my family, but it went pretty well. This year, instead of trekking out to my cousin's house on Long Island, we went to the home of some family friends for the first seder and they put together a seder that was very creative and interesting, with a homemade haggadah full of family photos and social commentary. My parents hosted a more traditional seder on the second night and elevated the art of packing people into their dining room to new levels. It was really great to spend time with my brother and sisters and my grandparents and everyone else.
