Frustration
Jan. 29th, 2005 12:04 pmNo Red Sox tickets for me this morning. Kelly had a conference, so I was in charge. I did get through on the automated phone system, but after 20 minutes of trying to find a game (any game) where I could get 2 adjacent seats, I got an error message that told me to call a customer service number. I was all hopeful that I'd get to talk to a real person and buy some tickets, but the nice customer service man said that he couldn't help and I had to keep trying the automated system. Meanwhile, the browser window I had open for 2 hours never got past the virutal waiting room screen. Now I'm going to give up, make some lunch and go play basketball. We're going out to Machine tonight for the league's annual talent show fundraiser, which should be entertaining.
In other news, Kelly managed to lose one set of my car keys this week. She lost them between unlocking the car door and starting the car one morning, so she came running back into the house at 6:30 AM very distraught and confused as to how she'd managed to do that. We haven't been able to find them in the car or in the snow. Meanwhile, her car needs a brake job and a new driver-side mirror. Sometimes, but not too often, I really miss living downtown.
