Maybe I need a personal secretary...
Sep. 18th, 2004 02:15 pmI am a walking financial disaster area right now. Not in the sense of being broke, just in the sense of failing to do really basic things like paying my car insurance on time. It doesn't help that I ran out of checks a few weeks ago and the new ones haven't come yet. I got the mortgage paid on time, but not so much the car insurance (for the second time in about 3 months, hopefully they won't cancel the policy again) and the Q3 estimated taxes just barely got taken care of. I think I need to start diligently programming reminders into my computer/phone/Palm* as soon as bills arrive so that I remember to get them done. Thankfully, the electric and gas bills go to Kelly and a bunch of other stuff gets paid automatically, so it's not as bad as it could be.
Today is a grey, rainy day in Boston. The good news is that nothing is going to tempt me to leave the house and procrastinate on my consulting project. I'll get right back to it after I go turn on the TV to see if the newspaper is serious about the Yankees leading the Sox by 8 runs after 2 innings.
* I've figured out how to use iSync to keep all 3 calendars and to-do lists synchronized. As cool as this is, I sometimes briefly regret it when everything starts beeping simultaneously.
