Weekend plans or lack thereof...

My holiday weekend is off to an early start because my boss told me to take today as a vacation day after I worked straight through last weekend for a big deadline. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is lousy and Kelly and I made no plans to go anywhere because I didn't know if I'd have to work. If any of you local types want to hang out over the weekend, you should call or e-mail.

One of the things I could do this weekend is see a bunch of movies. The thing is that I'm having trouble working up more than limited enthusiasm for the movies that are out that I theoretically would like to see. I think the problem is that they're sequels, and in two cases (Matrix Reloaded and The Two Towers, which I could go see at the Somerville Theater this afternoon) they're the second movie in a trilogy which is even less enthusiasm-inducing than a regular sequel.

Oh, well. At least I caught up on much-needed sleep by not waking up until 8:30 this morning.
