It's done. And I didn't even procrastinate until the night before. That's so unlike me. I must be getting old.

I got new sneakers yesterday. My feet don't hurt anymore. I love the New Balance outlet because I can walk in there and buy shoes like a normal person. Now if only they made dress shoes.

In other news, I started reading The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, whose books I've never found it easy to get into, and it's really good. Kelly and I had a totally unsatisfying trip to the Barnes and Noble near the Burlington Mall on Friday night. I had just finished reading James Gleick's biography of Richard Feynman (picked up at Victor Hugo a few weeks or months ago) and I was in the mood for something lighter and fluffier. I couldn't find anything I wanted to read, so she looked around the house for something I hadn't read and found this. I spent an enjoyable half hour reading at Diesel this evening (after I got over my surprise at not seeing anyone I knew and then figured out that it was Monday, not Tuesday).

I love Margaret Atwood but I didn't like The Blind Assassin as much as her other books. It started to feel repetitive in terms of themes and characters and such. It's not a bad book, though, by any means.
