There's something terribly ironic about the NY Times web site showing Iraq war coverage in the left column and travel articles under the header "Destination: Vietnam" on the far right.

In other media news, we've gotten sucked into watching the finale of Joe Millionaire. It's pretty awful, but at least I'll be able to follow lunchtime conversation at the office tomorrow.

If the subways are running, I'm going to work. Kelly and I were going stir-crazy today and I don't think we can handle another day at home together.

So how was the denument handled and reacted to?

Not as dramatically as one might have hoped. The impressive thing was that he didn't even apologize for lying to these women. He talked about how hard it was, but there wasn't an "I'm sorry" in there at all.

Why should he be sorry? He was hired to do a job in his career field (acting). Anyone willing to be filmed for an extended period for a TV show should also have the brains to expect that it might not be entirely factual. It's TV, not reality. ("Reality TV" notwithstanding.)
