Back from Florida
Feb. 6th, 2005 09:41 pmKelly and I flew back to Boston this afternoon, after a weekend in the Fort Lauderdale area. My grandfather's 90th birthday party was wonderful. My parents and all my siblings came down from New York, my uncle and his family were down from Baltimore, and lots of relatives who live in Florida (who I don't see very often) were there too.
Everyone warned us that it wasn't going to be very warm there. The temperature was mostly in the 60s. Kelly insisted on swimming anyway (in a heated pool, not the Atlantic) and we did take a short walk on the beach, but it really wasn't all that warm. We did take a lovely walk in a Japanese garden with an amazing bonsai collection. I'll post some photos later this week if I don't forget.
I didn't read LJ very much while I was out of town. Let me know if I missed anything important.
