Being single means not having to go out at night in the rain because someone else thinks she left her sunroof open.

She hadn't left it open, but she didn't know that when I walked in and said "it'll dry out soon" in my serious voice.

NYE non-announcement of non-party that we might possibly decide to have

So my original plan for New Year's Eve was to ignore it and just have some low-key hanging out at home time. Then Kelly started talking to some of our friends and it turned out that we weren't the only ones who were looking for a mellow evening. So, here's the deal; We are really not having a party. However, we like visitors, we have plenty of games, and we could probably cook some food or something. If any of you local folks out in LJ-land are not particularly pumped up about partying, wearing silly hats, or watching the TV countdown, but you'd be up for seeing people and maybe playing games or something, let me know so I can invite you over if we don't flake out. We'll make up our minds by the end of the weekend.
