One of the empty storefronts on Broadway is apparently going to house a clothing store soon. I walked by earlier this evening and there was a sign on the door and a bunch of people were working inside. There were a lot of closets and a lot of naked mannequin halves (leg halves and head/torso halves that had not been assembled into entire mannequins yet). They looked kind of weird and I was going to take a picture with my camera phone, but I figured the people might object so I didn't.

Having seen a bunch of intriguing references to the Kleptones' "A Night at the Hip-Hopera", I'm in the process of downloading it via BitTorrent, which I hadn't tried before. In the meantime, I've been entertaining (or possibly annoying) Kelly, who is shaking her head and rolling her eyes a lot, with random selections (for some value of random that's highly biased towards anything involving Christina Aguilera) from bastardpop.co.uk. She got a kick out of this version of "Tainted Love" with special guests Salt N' Pepa. The site is kind of hit or miss, but there are some amusing mixes. This one is pretty fun too.

I'm really missing the ability to get streaming music at work. Bringing in CDs is not the same and I'm missing out on new stuff. Maybe it's just as well that I can't listen to Eminem at work. I probably scare my co-workers enough as it is.
