Life on the couch continues...
Jun. 21st, 2004 11:38 amNow that we've got a new dining room table, Kelly and I can finally do the jigsaw puzzle that her mother got us for Christmas two years ago. The puzzle is wider than the previous dining room table, so it wasn't feasible to do it at the old apartment. I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle in years, but I used to do them with my mother all the time when I was a kid. Surprisingly, the cats have been really good about not running around on the table.
I've started my job search for real. Lots of recruiters, a few interviews, and a bunch of interesting prospects. At this point, I'm still just getting out and meeting people and seeing what they do. Unfortunately, I'm seeing far more potential in suburbia than downtown and I'm not crazy about the idea of a driving commute. At the end of this job search, I may have my own cubicle for the very first time. The thought of driving to work in a little box and then sitting in a medium-sized box all day makes me slightly claustrophobic.
Great game of softball this weekend, although we lost by a run. One of my teammates says we lose when the weather is good. I think that not spending 10-12 hours a day at a computer is doing good stuff for my throwing arm. I ended my streak of 5 strikeouts in a row (4 on Wednesday, one yesterday) with a single in the last inning. Kelly needs to start coming to games again because one of my teammates asked if we were still together.
