Getting nothing done
Dec. 29th, 2002 07:34 pmThere's nothing like a good virus to ruin a vacation. Kelly spent Friday being sick and I came down with it on Saturday. Fortunately, we're both a bit more functional today and in a little while we'll head off to Diesel and see if we can do anything about my massive caffeine headache.
This vacation has been pretty blah. My big plans were to cook and go to the gym and see the 3-hour movies that I'd been putting off. We did manage to see the Harry Potter movie, and I made it to the gym twice before getting sick, so I'm doing okay. My first attempt to bake bread may get postponed until next weekend. I picked up a copy of Beard on Bread for $3 at the used book shop near Downtown Crossing last week and now I'm going to try and overcome my skepticism about baking bread in our oven.
I should try and see The Two Towers before I go back to work on Thursday. I'm sort of ambivalent about it. I like movies, I just don't like making time to watch them.
