Yesterday was much better than the day before. I got to work before anyone else did because I had to take Kelly to get her car fixed* before she went to work. So I had nice quiet time at the office to do some serious documentation editing. My mental state was much improved, by this so it was a day of high productivity. I got the documentation ready for review, cleaned up the code that my now-vacationing co-worker hadn't quite finished before he left, fixed some other important bugs, and managed to get everything done by 6:15. So I went home and cooked chicken and spinach with garlic and walnuts for dinner before Kelly and I headed over to softball.

Upon arriving at the field, I ran into [livejournal.com profile] ornoth, who was there with [livejournal.com profile] pookfreak (and yes, we managed to get introduced this time). Because everyone should have an LJ fan club, [livejournal.com profile] pinkfish came over to see the game and hang out with Kelly while she kept score for us. We had a game that was pretty good for us only being able to scrape together a team at the last minute. Our pitcher really shouldn't be playing because of injuries, but she pitched really well and hopefully didn't have to run too much. The team we were playing is a good group of people, so even though we lost it was a fun time. And the weather was so much more bearable than all of our previous games, which were played in 80-degree weather with tons of humidity.

Sunday is the last day of softball season. I need to start thinking about whether or not I can play ultimate frisbee this fall.

*The latest in Kelly's car-repair saga is that she had the A/C repaired a few weeks ago. A few days later, it started flooding the front seat, so they had to fix it again. Then it was fine for a while, then it started flooding again.

When I saw the first question, I was more tempted to take it for Kelly. [livejournal.com profile] fj, what do you think?
