Mostly another boring entry about work
May. 18th, 2002 11:21 amMy company moved to a new office on Friday. It's my third office move in 2 years and the first one for which professional movers were hired. It's so much easier that way. We still had to do a lot of cleaning, but minimal amounts of heavy lifting and no loading or unloading of trucks. The new office is down near South Station, right behind the Blue Diner. It's very nice and my desk space is vast and immense. Kelly gave me a little cactus as an office-warming gift and I need to start bringing in books so that my space looks worked-in. And our new chairs are sufficiently adjustable that I can sit in a healthy typing position. It almost makes up for being in the office on a miserable and rainy Saturday morning (but not for very long because Kelly and I need to head up to Haverhill this evening for the wedding of one of her co-workers).
As a side-effect of the move, I managed to get out of the office at 7. Kelly took the T down to meet up with me at the Boston Common movie theater, so we had dinner and caught a 9pm showing of "Spider-Man". It was a fun movie, although perhaps a little sappier than I'd been anticipating. All superheroes have tragic family lives, but this movie really played it up. The girl who sat on the other side of Kelly apparently cried through the entire thing.
