*yawn*
I can't really get motivated to study for my final exam because it's not until Friday and I don't really expect to remember anything that I study this far in advance. I'm going to miss a small Chanukah party with friends too, but we've got folks coming over for latkes at least once during the holiday.
Kelly and I had a nice day yesterday. We went over to Harvard Square for a small amount of Christmas shopping, a really nice walk and lunch at John Harvard's. We swung by the Medford public library to replenish my supply of fiction, and then headed home where I actually managed to take an afternoon nap. I must have been really tired because I'm usually not able to sleep in the afternoon.
Last night, we headed down to a gay bar in Boston for my basketball league's annual Christmas party. This may have been the first time I'd really gone out to a bar since Boston bars went smoke-free. It was so nice that I could breathe and my eyes didn't itch. Afterwards, we wound up at Francesca's in the South End with another couple who were at the party. A very nice evening, with the usual empty speculation that we ought to get down to the South End more often (we won't, although it is a pretty good halfway point for meeting friends from JP).
Today's just a lazy day. Lots of reading and watching the football game. I sent Kelly off to a friend's birthday party without me because I wasn't feeling all that social. She's coming back soon and I'm going to cook chicken korma for dinner, which will make the whole house smell spicy.

copious amounts of envy for smoke-free bars!

The chicken korma recipe actually uses a small amount of heavy cream instead of yogurt or coconut milk. It's not a super-heavy sauce, but it takes only about half an hour to cook.
