You know...

When I was in 8th grade, if someone had told me that I'd grow up to work in an office where they played Metallica on Friday afternoons, I would have thought that was the coolest thing ever.

In other news, Kelly is watching some sort of documentary about homos in Hollywood on E! (a television network about television, which is really sort of remarkable when you think about it, it's like TV TV). They spent a whole bunch of time plugging Showtime's upcoming series called "The L Word", which is about a bunch of dykes living in West Hollywood. Can real lesbians afford to live in West Hollywood, or is that just a TV thing?

Apparently, two of the main characters are a long-term couple going to lots of trouble to find a sperm donor so they can have kids. Some readers may recall that the American version of "Queer as Folk" featured two lesbians who had just had a baby, using one of the male stars as a sperm donor.

Is it too much to ask that someone put lesbians on TV with a plot that doesn't revolve around sperm? It's like TV's new way of portraying two lesbians who're really just searching for a man.

I'm pretty sure that the movie we showed Dino fails the Bechdel test. It's only 30 minutes long and it doesn't have an awful lot of dialogue.
