I seem to be watching a lot of TV lately. Kelly flipped to A&E before she went to bed and now I'm watching Role Reversal in which two men and two women sort of temporarily try to change their genders. They've got this guy trying to teach them how to be convincing. It looks difficult.

You're the 123!
You are the heart of the city, yet you never take
the glory for yourself. You work overtime to
get the job done fast and efficiently. You take
pride in knowing the city just wouldnt work if
you were out of service.

I need to spend more time in NYC. I'm heading down to Scarsdale for Passover, but that doesn't count.

Y'know, I'd think that changing temporarily would be quite a bit harder than changing permanently. (At least outside of a John Varley-ish "if it's Tuesday, I must be female"-type universe.) Which is why I have infinite respect for Hilary Swank for having transitioned for a couple of months when they were filming Boys Don't Cry.

I miss New York.

And what did you think of Role Reversal? I missed it because I was trying to watch the season premier of Six Feet Under.

You are a classic; the quintessential New Yorker.
You are cultured and love to travel, though you
wouldn't move from New York in a million years.
Then again, you may just be a tourist, trying
to see all the sights in a single day.

That's the line I used to take to work!

Role Reversal would have been better if they hadn't given Deborah Tannen so much airtime. They also didn't adequately discuss the risk of violence when one gets caught passing, even though it happened to one of the participants. Other than that, it was mostly interesting.
