Apr. 28th, 2007 04:46 pmI went for an awesome walk this afternoon (3.3 miles according to Gmaps Pedometer) and I got home just as it started to rain.
Unfortunately, when I got home and went to switch from sunglasses back to regular glasses, my regular glasses were broken. The frame on one side has been unable to hang onto a screw for a few months now, and it's been periodically breaking. This time I couldn't find the screw, so I think I need to bite the bullet and get them replaced. Unfortunately, my vision insurance plan doesn't cover new glasses until September, but I don't think I can hold out that long. I'm going to see if I can talk K into an exciting Saturday evening visit to LensCrafters. I bought stuff to make soup tonight, so we will not need to have a "romantic food court dinner". (I'm not sure exactly when it started, but at some point we were trying to have a nice evening out and wound up going to the mall instead because one of us needed something, and evening visits to the mall during which we grab dinner are now known as romantic food court dinners.) On the bright side, I have been all about experimenting with my look lately (partly because of the career change, but mainly because I peered into my closet one morning and realized I was really tired of button-down shirts) and new glasses are a fun way to do that. Those of you who pay attention to fashion and stuff, I could totally use suggestions.
ETA: For those of you who haven't seen what I look like with my current glasses, here's a picture that
