State or Federal?
Feb. 25th, 2006 12:35 pmAfter last year's income tax hell*, I managed to get this year's Federal taxes for me and Kelly e-filed in about 2 hours. When you are able to use the same brand of tax preparation software on the same computer for two consecutive years, it gets so much easier to file taxes. I still have to do a fake joint Federal return for us so that I can file our real joint state return, but I have all the paperwork in order and it will be relatively straightforward.
Speaking of marriage, we met with our wedding reception photographer on Wednesday evening to go over photos for our album. Aside from the part where looking at photos of my grandparents made me sad, it was really fun and we are going to have a spiffy album in a few weeks. We still need to pick out a few photos to get framed. Kelly is on a major home-decorating kick. She painted part of the kitchen this morning and has plans to put up curtains later. We also have a mirror and a shelf for the bedroom that have been sitting in the front hallway in boxes for a few weeks.
I have my last regular-season basketball game this afternoon, then we have a week off before the playoffs. I'm not sure why they have the men playing for a week longer than the women, it must be something to do with balancing the schedule.
*Job change, unemployment, a new house and a same-sex marriage equals income tax hell. My father-in-law the accountant said not to call him for help if it was going to be like that.
