It's really quite fortunate that I don't live alone. Kelly stayed overnight at her parents' house last night because of a school event, woke up feeling sick and wound up staying over tonight too. Turns out it takes less than 24 hours for my sleep schedule to degenerate. It's good that I went to the gym, but less good that I am now contemplating making a smoothie and watching cartoons for a few hours. I also have leftover homemade gingerbread (another perk of cohabitation). If you see me on IRC after midnight, please tell me to go to sleep.

I have been walking all over downtown Boston this week. Since Kelly was away last night, I went out to shop for her Christmas presents. I am way ahead this year (usually, I wait until the week before). I need to find some incredibly tacky over-the-top Christmas-themed wrapping paper, but the one CVS I tried had nothing good. Anyway, I had a great walk down Newbury St. and over to the mall. Today, I had to go to the dentist, which meant an extra 40 minutes of slightly rainy walking in the middle of the day. I could take the subway, but it's just barely faster and not all that convenient. I love this unseasonably warm end-of-November weather that we've had for the past few days. If only the global warming could be accompanied by some kind of global brightening, it would be perfect.
