Pre-weekend update...
Oct. 29th, 2005 09:15 amIt's not as yucky outside as the weather forecast predicted. Hopefully it will stay that way, at least until I get back from my basketball game this afternoon. I don't know if we have 4 players or 5, but I suspect that I'm going to get beat up under the basket either way. My back seems to have mostly recovered from practice on Thursday though. After that, I am free to slack all weekend with just a few small things that need to get done.
Halfway through a 2-week free trial, I am totally hooked on Netflix. I got the free trial because I was flipping through the PBS video catalog and noticed a few DVDs that looked interesting enough to watch, but not to buy. I have watched 3 movies in the past week and I have another one ready to watch this evening or Sunday. I don't think I watched 3 movies on my DVD player in the entire previous year, but not having to go to the video store and discuss all the new releases with Kelly really makes a difference as does the lack of timing issues.
Next week, we're going to the Boston Jewish Film Festival on Wednesday to see Live and Become. I had also wanted to see Adam and Steve, but it's showing on a Sunday evening and Kelly has work and school that weekend so she wasn't up for it.
