For my birthday this year, Kelly found Red Sox tickets on eBay. Second row of the grandstand on the 3rd base line almost behind home plate. According to the seller, the seats were marked obstructed view, but the only thing you couldn't see was extreme left field. Since Bronson Arroyo was pitching and I owed
bitty a photo of him, I made sure my camera phone was fully charged. It started to rain as we left the house, but the weather during the game was fantastic.
When we got to the game, we discovered that the view from our seats looked like this:

Fortunately, there were some empty seats in front of us and just to the side of the pole, so we sat in those and were able to see this instead:

Nobody showed up to claim the seats, so we got to see the whole game. It was a pretty good game and the Sox won. Arroyo pitched really well for 7 innings, followed by Timlin and Schilling. Manny had a home run, but it was not a super big hitting game. The Red Sox had a few unfortunate plays in the field, but managed to hold on to their lead. When Schilling was pitching during the 9th inning, we nearly went blind from all the camera flashes going off. The Sox need a "no flash photography" rule because it's not like the flashes on any of those cameras were doing the photographers any good.
