It was nice while it lasted...
Mar. 28th, 2005 10:02 pmWe loved spring a lot more before it started raining.
I'm working at home tomorrow morning and then driving out to an off-site meeting in Marlborough in the afternoon. If it doesn't stop raining before then, it's going to take some serious willpower to get me out of the house. My dining room is really nice for sitting and watching the rain come down outside.
I have been cooking up a storm lately. Last night, I made spinach with dill and onions. Kelly's starting to eat meals again, so we got to cook together for the first time in months. Tonight, I made chicken in a really simple yogurt marinade with paprika and mint and lots of other good stuff, and also threw together a fennel and orange salad. We get so much mileage out of the Madhur Jaffrey vegetarian cookbook it's not funny. The chicken recipe was from a magazine though.
Speaking of Boston, Boston.com today had a little headline reading Boston is home to some great places to get a cup of coffee.. I was skeptical. It turns out that by "Boston" they meant "Charlestown and Cambridge" and by "great places to get a cup of coffee" they meant restaurants where you can order coffee after dinner. I should write them a letter or something.
