Weekend update...
Mar. 13th, 2005 09:42 amAfter four miserable days, I appear to no longer be sick.
Playing basketball yesterday was really not a good idea. But it was good that I showed up, because we only had 5 players. I was a little too out of it to properly communicate to my teammates that I was not working properly, so there was some confusion. I did manage to play some good defense, but I couldn't run like I usually do. On offense, I couldn't shoot worth a damn. No thanks to me, we won our game and we're facing the top-seeded team in the finals next Saturday.
In other news, remember how I said I didn't have time for 800+ pages of fiction this week. I was wrong. I have only about 50 pages left to go in The Confusion. It's a very good book, but now he's doing that frustrating thing that trilogy authors have to do where they start leaving loose ends that won't get resolved until you read the third volume. I don't have the third volume yet. I do have a meeting on Tuesday to discuss a part-time contracting project. If I am smart, I will convince myself that it would be better to buy the third volume as a reward for completing some portion of the contract, so that it is not available as a procrastination device in the interim.
Spring can begin any day now. I am really, really tired of snow.
