Mmmmm....coffee
Dec. 19th, 2004 03:48 pmI stopped by True Grounds for a mocha and some wireless internet access to celebrate the completion of my Christmas shopping (which consists primarily of buying gifts for Kelly, because she handles our gifts for other people). I think I did a proper job of it this year. She usually tells me a few things she'd like, but I found at least one thing which will be a total surprise for her.
I should get over here more often. It's very pleasant, something smells really good, and they're playing a bunch of acoustic folky music on the stereo. I should revise my web services article for the extremely patient editor, but I've managed to procrastinate all day on that front. I've been pondering whether I like the idea of writing more than I actually like doing it. I like the finished product, but I have a lot of trouble getting into the really productive part of the process.
Inspired by my friendsfriends page, on which knitting communities have come to outnumber cat photo communities, I am seriously thinking about learning how to knit. Given that I almost flunked home economics in 6th grade, this may be one of the dumbest ideas I've had in years. To give myself time to come to my senses, I've put it off until January. My other project for January is to get a decent professional web site up and running.
I should do one of those year-in-review posts, since this has really been the strangest year of my life. I'm a little bit relieved that it's going to be over soon. I'm hoping next year will be just a tiny bit less interesting.
