That's not entirely true. There were a few good things this week. But work was frustrating, we had a sick cat who spent two nights at the vet (he's home now and doing okay) and Kelly had a root canal yesterday and then had to drive home an hour in the snow. She's doped up on pain meds and sleeping it off now, and I'm going to go play some basketball before we drive up to New Hampshire for her brother's birthday party. With any luck, next week will be better.

I guess the week's not over yet
Nov. 13th, 2004 06:52 pmAbout halfway to New Hampshire, Kelly started feeling really sick and made me pull the car over. We sat for a few minutes and then she decided that she couldn't handle the rest of the car trip and she really needed some mashed potatoes. I got us turned around, we stopped at the 99 for some food, and now we're home at 7pm and she's gone to bed. I'm feeling vague nostalgia for that phase in my life when I used to go out on Saturday nights, but I think I'm just going to curl up with a book or something.
Tomorrow, I am going to measure the windows for shades (stay tuned for another home improvement adventure). Other than that, this weekend is pretty dull.
