Democracy in action...

I appreciate that I have the ability to call my elected representatives and let them know how I feel about upcoming issues like the vote on the anti-gay-marriage amendement at Wednesday's constitutional convention.

However, I don't actually like doing it on this particular issue. It's a bit saddening to have to pick up the phone and ask someone to please protect your civil rights. But if it makes a difference in the case of my state representative, it'll be worth it.
