danger_chick came over for dinner last night. Having learned from my previous experiments in vegetarian cooking, Kelly made baked chicken drumsticks and I tried a new recipe from our the Moosewood low-fat cookbook. I made Middle Eastern spinach and chickpeas with red peppers over orzo and a mint/garlic yogurt sauce. It was pretty easy (and fairly quick if you can enlist someone else to chop the spinach while you cook) and it came out pretty well, so I've been given permission to make it again. For dessert, Kelly made almond macaroons from the Gourmet dessert cookbook she got for Christmas. Those turned out really well too.
Today's big projects are to clean out the basement (or at least get started on it), deal with some condo-buying paperwork, and bake enchiladas for tomorrow's office potluck. If I can get it all done in time, we're going down to E+B's to watch
The L Word. I don't know if it's really my idea of a good TV show, but watching it with a bunch of dykes should be fun.
