So the only thing worse than having your softball game rained out midway through is having it rain all afternoon and then stop in time for your softball game.

The field over at Northeastern, which isn't a great place to play in good weather (the dirt is very dirty and abrasive when it's dry) was a giant mud pit. To make things extra-special fun, our regular catcher showed up late so I got drafted to catch. Usually, that's fun. But part of catching is that you drop your mask on the ground when you take it off, and then you put it back on for the next play. When the ground is a giant mud pit, this gets really gross really fast. Kelly wasn't sure she wanted to give me a ride home in her car by the end of it. And we lost dramatically in the last inning, but it was a good game.
