the good...
Sep. 12th, 2002 09:17 am[the bad and the ugly have been omitted from this post because you can get enough of that elsewhere]
Kelly's trying for her first full day back at work today. She went to work on Tuesday, but they sent her home at 11:30 (they tried to send her home earlier, but she insisted on staying for a meeting).
While I was busy being distracted by my life, the latest issue of The Perl Review got published without my noticing. It contains my long-procrastinated article on what Perl programmers ought to know about Java. And people have actually read it and sent me e-mail about it.
I had a really good talk with one of my favorite people last night, after many weeks of phone tag. She may be coming to Boston later this fall.
Work's going well. We've had some inexplicable hard-to-reproduce bugs lately, but I've managed to come up with a few changes that might fix them. I've also wrapped up a bunch of other small projects, so I no longer feel doomed to start lots of things and never finish anything.
