Reasons why it's fun to be me today:

1. Getting to the office at 7am to investigate weird errors on the production system that can't be reproduced anywhere else. Discovering that the errors are even weirder and less reproducible than expected.
2. Seeing a mouse scamper across the office floor after I turned on the lights.
3. Not getting much sympathy from our CEO when I screamed.
4. Pouring my first cup of coffee to discover that the office is out of liquid coffee creamer. I did scrounge up the powdered stuff, but it's not the same.
5. It's not even 8:30 yet.

Reasons Why It's Fun to be Me Today continued:

6. They're testing the building's fire alarms today. It appears that in the event of a fire, we'll hear short bursts of a loud high-pitched screechy sound every 30 seconds or so.

Via friendsfriends, I've just discovered that some of my favorite online comics are available via LJ, including dieselsweeties and tmcm (Too Much Coffee Man).

In other news, my co-workers have just discovered that the front office trashcan contains 5 mice. One of the co-workers attempted to pick one up. I am so ready to telecommute.
