[livejournal.com profile] jwg suggested that it would be appropriate for a crucial play in this game to involve a grounder hit by Preston Wilson (Mookie's stepson, for those of you who haven't been following).

I'll note that our household is rooting for the Cardinals over the Mets, but we don't feel strongly about it. Whoever wins this series is due to lose to the Tigers anyway.

*nodnod* They've sometimes shown him in the stands during the NLCS.

And of course, Mookie was one fast runner -- even if the ball had been fielded, he *might* have beat it to the bag. But anyway.
