I think they decided "Please Take Pity and Buy Tommy Lee's Solo Album, He's Not Smart Enough to Get a Real Job" wouldn't work as a title. Basically, the show is about Tommy Lee pretending to be a student at the University of Nebraska. You're not missing much. "Tommy Lee Goes to College" is what happens when American TV producers run out of British shows to remake.
