#2 was a little bit silly. My friends in 5th grade were the girls on my basketball team. Our lunch period was 20 minutes outside playing, 20 minutes in the lunch room, and then another 20 minutes outside. The basketball court was all the way at the edge of the school grounds and we figured we could double our playing time if we just brought our lunchbags down there instead of running back and forth. We got in trouble and kept doing it anyway, until they told us we couldn't eat lunch at school anymore. So I had to walk across the street and eat lunch at home for the rest of the year. Our basketball team did very well. The school totally screwed me over when I started junior high the next year by doing its best to make sure that I had no classes with my elementary school friends (the junior high merged 5 neighborhood schools). A few months into 6th grade, the junior high guidance counselor called my parents to say that I seemed to be having a lot of trouble fitting in and making friends. I may have gone to America's best public schools, but they were pretty screwed up in their own way.

#9 was the year after Jeffrey, Colin and I watched the Miss America pageant with you calling us on the phone every 5 minutes.
